Preparing for the first day
Level 2 apprentices are required to be prepared for the first day of class:

You will write a math and science exam based on the Level 1 curriculum. This exam mark will be included in your Level 2 final grade calculation.
You will need a calculator, pencil and eraser to write the math and science exam.
You need to purchase your Level 2 textbooks prior to attending your first day of class. This can be done by going to the College Bookstore at the Kelowna Campus.
You will be moving into the Plumbing Code after completing the exam.

Prepare for your first day
There will be a Plumbing Code exam on Day 1 which will encompass the material covered in the Drainage and Venting Systems portion of Level 2. Please bring your B.C. or Canadian Plumbing Code book, a calculator, pencil and eraser and come prepared to write this test as it will be counted toward your final mark for Level 3.

Important Information
Students have the option to write the Cross Connection Control exam during this
level. Students must register for the exam with Okanagan College ($125) AND with
the BC Waste Water Association (BCCWA) (approx. $120). Students must be
registered with the BCWWA two weeks prior to the exam date. No refunds will be
issued if cancellations are within a week of the exam date.

Be an ITA registered apprentice in plumbing, steamfitting or refrigeration mechanic
Successfully completed all 4 levels of technical training with a minimum of 3 years workplace hours achieved, indicated by transcript or the minimum of: Plumbing: 4815 hours, Steamfitting: 4215 hours, Refrigeration Mechanic: 5415 hours

Entry Requirements

You are not eligible to apply to this program because:

The minimum age is 18.

English fluency is required.
You need to be either:
- A native English speaker
- Studied a degree in English before
- Can demonstrate a high level of English
- Having an English certificate such as IELTS level 6 or TOEFL 95 and above is an advantage.

Minimum education level: High School.

The program is competitive, you need to have a high grades of Average A, 70%, or a high GPA.

Application process:

Applying Online is simple in just a few steps. More information is available here.

The first steps are to choose the programs, pay the application fee and upload the application documents.

Once submitted to Global Admissions, we will review your application within 2-3 days and proceed to the university or ask you for further clarification

After it has been processed to the university you will receive your unique application ID from each university.

The university may contact you directly for further questions.

We will then follow up each week with the university for updates. As soon as there is any update we will let you know. If you have made other plans, decide to withdraw / change address at any time please let us know.

After you have been accepted you will receive your admissions letter electronically and asked to pay the non-refundable deposit to the university.

Once you have paid the deposit the university will issue you the admissions letter and visa form to your home country.
