This course aims to enable students to learn principles of periodontology periodontal tissue elements periodontal diagnosis methods differences between inflamed and healthy gingiva and gingival inflammation process The students will understand the causes of preferring various diagnoses methods by classifying periodontal diseases in accordance with current classification criteria and the etiological factors and possible mechanisms of the development of periodontal disease They will learn different etiological factors of different periodontal diseases the instruments used in periodontal treatment and clinical periodontal treatment approaches The students will have ability to analyze the selection criteria and possible outcomes of the case-specific preferred treatment protocol (surgical or non-surgical)
