Mechanical engineering technicians are an incredibly important part of the engineering industry. They are responsible for providing assistance to mechanical engineers in the design, development, and manufacture of mechanical products and systems. At Humber College, the Mechanical Engineering Technician program offers hands-on learning experiences using industry-standard tools and equipment, allowing students to build practical skills in the areas of industrial automation, machining, and manufacturing. Through this program, students gain both an understanding of the fundamentals of mechanical engineering and the ability to design and build mechanical products.
