Prepare for a career as a residential, itinerant or resource teacher to the visually impaired. Build on your bachelor's degree, in education or in another field,* and specialize your area of expertise. You'll study in an intensive, research-based program and learn how to assess blindness and low vision. You will learn Braille instruction and discover the technology options available so that you may create a successful teaching environment.
This program is fully online and may be completed in 2 to 3 years. With the successful completion of certificate, you will be equipped to teach birth to 12th grade blind and low vision students.
