RESEARCH WORK
Dissertation (thirty-three credits)
The dissertation must reflect a certain originality and demonstrate that the student has the necessary skills to carry out scientific research in his field of interest in a relatively autonomous way: fundamental or applied research and oriented towards the 'physical activity.
The general objectives associated with the completion of the master's thesis in the sciences of physical activity are to allow the student a personal experience in research and an adequate preparation for independent research and the pursuit of postgraduate studies.
As part of the completion of his dissertation, the student will have to participate in a compulsory activity for the purposes of recommendation for the diploma: the research seminar, attached to the course Research issues in the sciences of physical activity (EPK6079).
The research seminar
The research seminar is a mandatory activity included in the course Research Issues in Human Kinetics (EPK6079) offered in each of the three semesters. This course should be completed before the end of the fourth master's registration session (full-time students) and the sixth session (part-time students).
In the context of finalizing their thesis, the student is strongly encouraged to present the results and conclusions of their research project within the framework of scientific or professional activities, such as a symposium, a congress, etc.
