Biomedical sciences is a broad field ranging from molecule to man to population, with the common aim to improve patient health and well-being. In our Biomedical Sciences master's, students construct their own programme based on personal interests.
You will get a thorough understanding of the molecular, individual and/or population aspects of human health and disease and learn to conduct scientific research independently. The master’s programme allows you to construct a curriculum that meets your research interests and career goals. We offer a broad range of over 80 different biomedical courses from which you can choose as well as internships and a literature thesis.
Part of the courses belong to our 7 specialisations and 3 career profiles. The courses assembled in a these specialisation and profiles are aligned in terms of structure and content/level build-up.
During the master’s programme you will perform at least 2 internships providing you with ample opportunity to develop your professional/academic skills.

Study programme of Biomedical Sciences Our Master’s in Biomedical Science allows you – in the parameters of the programme – to construct a curriculum that meets your research interests and career goals. Important is that all your choices add up to a coherent programme. Your assigned mentor will help you determine your internships and theoretical education. The Board of Examinations must then approve your constructed programme.
Curriculum and courses Students have many options to construct their own programme. Each year there are 6 course periods from Sept – Feb. During the first year, most students start by following specialisation courses from Sept-Nov. These specialisation courses provide substantive structure and depth on a number of core topics. Most students continue following additional courses until Feb to further specialise or broaden their master programme. From March until summer most students do their first internship.
In the second year, many students start by doing additional courses between Sept and Feb. It’s possible to follow courses from other topics or specialisations. Moreover, students opt for one the career profiles: Research, Consultancy or Science Communication. Each of these profiles have a number of mandatory courses in Dec - Feb. Students do their second internship during the second year. The literature thesis (taking approx. 1 month) can carried out either in the first or second year of the programme.

The minimum age is 18.
English fluency is required.
You need to be either:
- A native English speaker
- Studied a degree in English before
- Can demonstrate a high level of English
- Having an English certificate such as IELTS level 6 or TOEFL 95 and above is an advantage.
Minimum education level: Bachelor's.
The program is competitive, you need to have a high grades of Average
A, 70%, or a
high GPA.

Once submitted to Global Admissions, we will review your
application within
2-3
days and proceed to the university or ask
you for further clarification
After it has been processed to the university you will receive
your unique
application ID from each university.
The university may contact you directly for further questions.
We will then follow up each week with the university for updates.
As soon as
there is any update we will let you know.
If you have made other plans, decide to withdraw / change
address at any
time
please let us know.
After you have been accepted you will receive your admissions
letter
electronically and asked to pay the non-refundable
deposit to the university.
Once you have paid the deposit the university will issue you the
admissions
letter and visa form to your home country.
