STRUCTURE OF THE PROGRAM
The student must complete the DESS program in translation (1717) , as well as the courses relating to the course chosen.
The courses offered in the different streams (optional courses) can be taken via admission to program 9117 Complementary thematic training in translation .
Course TRA6026 (compulsory course) can be taken via admission to program 0914 Complementary courses required for obtaining the diploma (2nd cycle) .
Path 1 – Professional translation and initiation to research. To obtain the master's degree by accumulation, the student must take the following courses:
Compulsory courses (6 credits)
TRA6026 Directed work in translation or terminology (6 credits)
Optional courses 1 - (one course among the following courses) (3 credits)
TRA6030 Mentoring (3 credits)
TRA6021 Introduction to interpretation (3 credits)
Optional courses 2 - (2 courses from the following courses) (6 credits)
TRA6028 Corpus Translation Studies (3 credits)
TRA6010 Theoretical Currents in Translation Studies (3 credits)
COM6020 Culture, communication and audiences (3 credits)
Path 2 – Translation and cultural backgrounds. The student must take the following courses:
Compulsory courses (6 credits)
TRA6026 Directed work in translation or terminology (6 credits)
Optional courses 1 - (6 credits)
The student follows two courses of the short program 0530 (6 credits)
Optional courses 2 - (one course among the following courses) (3 credits)
TRA6030 Mentoring (3 credits)
TRA6021 Introduction to interpretation (3 credits)
Path 3 – Translation and thematic knowledge. The student will take the following courses:
Compulsory courses (6 credits)
TRA6026 Directed work in translation or terminology (6 credits)
Optional courses 1 - (6 credits)
The student takes two courses of the short program 9117 (6 credits)
