📚About the Program

As a student in our School of Kinesiology you will study the science of human movement, physical activity, and their relationship to health, well-being and performance. Additionally, you will learn about the psychological, sociological and cultural factors that influence physical activity in all populations. This breadth of study will teach you to work collaboratively as part of an interprofessional team to deliver the best quality of care in diverse healthcare settings. Our balance of in-class and hands-on courses will provide you with the experience necessary to assess movement across the lifespan. If you are interested in becoming a Registered Kinesiologist, our broad-based learning curriculum successfully prepares you to challenge the registration exam for the regulatory college license requirements to practice in Ontario. In first year you will be required to take the following courses:

Kinesiology 1010 – Introduction to Kinesiology
Kinesiology 1035 – Physical Growth and Motor Development
Kinesiology 1113 – Principles of Health: A Personal Wellness Perspective
Kinesiology 1710 – General Principles of Fitness and Wellness
Kinesiology 1711 – Movement Observation and Assessment
You will also be required to complete:

Chemistry 1210 – Organic and Biochemistry for Health Sciences
English 1116 – Native and Newcomer Literatures in Canada: Contact Zones
The remaining balance of your courses will be electives.

First year Kinesiology studies set the stage for higher level courses such as:

Psychology of Physical Activity
Sociology of Physical Activity and Sport
Musculoskeletal Injuries
Exercise Prescription
Exercise Physiology
Human Anatomy
Electives are available each year to explore other topics outside of Kinesiology.

Entry Requirements

You are not eligible to apply to this program because:

The minimum age is 18.

English fluency is required.
You need to be either:
- A native English speaker
- Studied a degree in English before
- Can demonstrate a high level of English
- Having an English certificate such as IELTS level 6 or TOEFL 95 and above is an advantage.

Minimum education level: High School.

The program is competitive, you need to have a high grades of Average A, 70%, or a high GPA.

Application process:

Applying Online is simple in just a few steps. More information is available here.

The first steps are to choose the programs, pay the application fee and upload the application documents.

Once submitted to Global Admissions, we will review your application within 2-3 days and proceed to the university or ask you for further clarification

After it has been processed to the university you will receive your unique application ID from each university.

The university may contact you directly for further questions.

We will then follow up each week with the university for updates. As soon as there is any update we will let you know. If you have made other plans, decide to withdraw / change address at any time please let us know.

After you have been accepted you will receive your admissions letter electronically and asked to pay the non-refundable deposit to the university.

Once you have paid the deposit the university will issue you the admissions letter and visa form to your home country.
