As a civil engineer, you will be involved in the planning, design, construction, and rehabilitation of engineering projects including as buildings, airports, highways, dams and power, water supply, bridges, and industrial facilities.
You will tackle design and research work in highway geometrics and transportation systems, high-performance concretes, environmental issues, watershed analysis, foundations, and slope stability projects or structural analysis and design engineering.
Our Civil Engineering program is accredited by the Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board (CEAB). We offer several entry points into our Bachelor of Engineering programs to accommodate you at any stage of your education.

As a first year Civil Engineering student you will be required to complete the following courses: Engineering 1110* - Engineering Drawing Engineering 1230 - Statics Engineering 1233 & 1533 - Mechanics of Materials I & II Engineering 1235 - Surveying English 1015 - Introduction to Academic Writing Mathematics 1071** - Vectors and Matrices Mathematics 1210 & 1230 - Calculus I & II Engineering 1111 - Dynamics I Engineering 1630 - Theory of Structures Engineering 1635 - Fluid Mechanics Engineering 1733 - Civil Engineering Drawing Computer Science 0411*** - Elementary Computing *Students who are judged to have adequate drawing experience will be given the opportunity to obtain this credit by a special examination following registration. ** Students who have completed Gr. 12U Calculus and Vectors with a minimum grade of 60% are not required to take Mathematics 1071. ***With the approval of the Department of Civil Engineering, Computer Science 0411 may be replaced by another computer programming course.
All of your courses will contain both a lecture and a lab component, with the exception of Introduction to Academic Writing, requiring approximately 28 hours of in-class time per week.

English fluency is required.
You need to be either:
- A native English speaker
- Studied a degree in English before
- Can demonstrate a high level of English
- Having an English certificate such as IELTS level 6 or TOEFL 95 and above is an advantage.
Minimum education level: High School.
The program is competitive, you need to have a high grades of Average
A, 70%, or a
high GPA.

Once submitted to Global Admissions, we will review your
application within
2-3
days and proceed to the university or ask
you for further clarification
After it has been processed to the university you will receive
your unique
application ID from each university.
The university may contact you directly for further questions.
We will then follow up each week with the university for updates.
As soon as
there is any update we will let you know.
If you have made other plans, decide to withdraw / change
address at any
time
please let us know.
After you have been accepted you will receive your admissions
letter
electronically and asked to pay the non-refundable
deposit to the university.
Once you have paid the deposit the university will issue you the
admissions
letter and visa form to your home country.
